This Rare Aston Martin Zagato Is Bound To Go For Big Bucks At Auction

Aston Martins are already some of the most breathtaking cars on the market. That's why the company doesn't hand its cars over to just anyone to create bespoke models. But Aston Martin and Zagato have teamed up to create stunning cars in the past, and one very special model is coming up for auction. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato has been dropping jaws since 2011, and this "No. Zero" car is one of just 65 built. Chassis number 31235 is one of a kind and features direct input from Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman.

The V12 Zagato was created for the 50th anniversary of the original DB4GT Zagato. It was built on the Vantage chassis with a 6.0-liter 510 horsepower V12 mated to a six-speed manual transmission. According to RM Auctions, this particular car "has several elements that Aston Martin created purely for the owner and are unrepeatable." Some of these elements include a key with the Zagato Z etched into it, a special plaque that says "No. Zero," which is the car's name, and an Aston Martin badge that is made of beetle wings, which harkens back to the company's original logo. A grand total of over 2,000 man hours went into each V12 Zagato, making this an incredibly special car to own.

This car will be auctioned at RM Sotheby's event in Paris on February 8th and should fetch a huge sum of money. Aston Martin and Zagato recently released a convertible model based on the Vanquish which costs around $850,000. We expect this V12 Zagato to go for well over $1 million. The number 26 of 61 V12 Zagato, for example, was sold at auction for around $800,000 back in October, but this white No. Zero model is a bit more special and should go for more.
